This policy describes how the AI Expiry Reminder mobile application ("App") and the backend services operated for the App ("Service", hosted at use-by-date-server.vercel.app) handle information. The App is designed to help users track food expiry dates, with saved items and reminder data stored primarily on the user's device.

1. Information we process

• On your device (local): saved product names, expiry dates, reminder settings, selected photo references, and app preferences. This data stays in the App unless you export or share it yourself.
• Online image analysis (optional): when you analyze a photo, the App sends the selected image data, MIME type, and language preference to our Service. The Service forwards the image to Google's Gemini API to detect product names and expiry date candidates, then returns the analysis result to the App.
• Notifications: reminder schedules are created on your device using local notifications. We do not need an account to send those reminders.
• Ads and analytics: the App may use Google Mobile Ads and related SDKs, which may process device or advertising identifiers according to Google's policies. Firebase services may also be used when enabled in the build.
• Technical logs: our Service may log request metadata such as timestamps and error details for reliability and security. We avoid logging full image content in routine operation.

2. Purpose

• Provide food expiry analysis from photos
• Store and organize expiry reminders on your device
• Deliver app settings and advertising configuration
• Maintain and protect the Service

3. Retention

Data saved in the App remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Images sent for analysis are processed for that request and are not used by us as a permanent user photo archive. Server and provider logs may be retained for a limited period for operations and security.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the App, such as Google Gemini for analysis, Google for ads, and Vercel for hosting, or when required by law.

5. Your choices

• You can edit or delete saved items inside the App at any time.
• You can decide whether to grant camera, photo library, and notification permissions.
• You can manage ad personalization choices in your device settings where available.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

1. 처리하는 정보

• 기기 내 저장: 저장한 상품명, 유통기한, 알림 설정, 선택한 사진 참조 정보, 앱 설정. 사용자가 직접 내보내거나 공유하지 않는 한 기본적으로 기기 안에 보관됩니다.
• 온라인 이미지 분석(선택): 사진 분석 시 선택한 이미지 데이터, MIME 타입, 언어 설정이 서비스로 전송되며, 서비스는 Google Gemini API를 통해 상품명과 유통기한 후보를 분석한 뒤 결과를 앱에 반환합니다.
• 로컬 알림: 유통기한 알림 일정은 사용자의 기기에서 로컬 알림으로 생성됩니다. 당사는 이를 위해 별도 계정을 요구하지 않습니다.
• 광고·SDK: Google Mobile Ads 등 제3자 SDK가 기기 또는 광고 식별자를 처리할 수 있으며, 빌드 설정에 따라 Firebase 서비스가 함께 사용될 수 있습니다.
• 기술 로그: 서비스 안정성과 보안을 위해 요청 시각, 오류 정보 등 최소한의 기술 로그가 기록될 수 있습니다. 일반 운영 중 전체 이미지 내용을 기록하지 않도록 노력합니다.

2. 이용 목적

• 사진 기반 식품 유통기한 분석 제공
• 기기 내 유통기한 저장 및 정리 기능 제공
• 앱 설정 및 광고 구성 제공
• 서비스 운영, 안정성 확보, 보안 대응

3. 보관 기간

앱에 저장된 데이터는 사용자가 삭제하거나 앱을 제거할 때까지 기기에 남습니다. 분석을 위해 전송된 이미지는 해당 요청 처리에 사용되며, 당사가 사용자 사진 보관함 형태로 장기 저장하지 않습니다. 서버 및 외부 서비스 제공자의 기술 로그는 운영 및 보안 목적상 제한된 기간 동안 보관될 수 있습니다.

4. 제3자 제공 및 처리 위탁

개인정보를 판매하지 않습니다. 다만 앱 운영에 필요한 범위에서 Google Gemini(분석), Google(광고), Vercel(호스팅) 등 서비스 제공자와 정보를 처리할 수 있으며, 법령에 따라 요구되는 경우 제공될 수 있습니다.

5. 이용자 선택권

• 앱 내에서 저장한 항목을 언제든 수정하거나 삭제할 수 있습니다.
• 카메라, 사진, 알림 권한 부여 여부를 직접 선택할 수 있습니다.
• 가능한 경우 기기 설정에서 광고 개인화 관련 선택을 관리할 수 있습니다.

6. 아동

앱은 만 13세 미만 또는 해당 지역의 최소 연령 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다. 아동의 개인정보를 고의로 수집하지 않습니다.
